  I feel the need to comment concerning this very disturbing incident involving Mary Pursley. It was absolutely horrible what she did to a student, especially a special needs student. and to keep her on paid administrative leave when tbere are witnesses is unbelievable. These children need special attention. If she is a special ed teacher she was trained accordingly. There is absolutely no excuse for what she did. Full charges should be brought against her and she should be terminated. If your school system does nothing to fix this then you are part of the problem as well.
